Out of 135 deceased persons’ estates finally certified by the Commissioner cf Stamps during last month, the largest are those of Messrs Charles A. Smith, Hawke’s Bay, £75,827 ; William Buss, Canterbury, £36,600 ; Matilda W. Philson, Auckland, £22,402 ; 'Robert B. Pearce, New Plymouth, £14,253 ; Albert Horton, Auckland, £13,151 ; and Henry Adsett, Wellington, £12,248. Other leading Wellington estates were as follows : George L. D. Goldfinch, £lO3l ; Charles W. Benbow, £7017; Henry Drummond, £2851; Charles Astley, £2016; James James, £3210 ; Herbert Clarke, £1046 ; Jessie G. Mackenzie, £3307 ; Mary S.
