Messrs W. R. Tuck and Woolf, of Wanganui, have purchased the » wrecked'vessel, the Charles Edward, and her cargo. The steamer met with a mishap while crossing the bar: recently. The Charles-' Edward ' has had a remarkable career, and has done faithful service for her owners, the Anchor Company, since 1864, the date of her launching. She was first a paddle steamer, but now nothing of the 1 original;boat remains, unless it be one or two old plates sheathed on either side of the hull.
