DISCOVERY OF MARBLE.
Napirr, Dec. 21. It is reported that a valuable discovery of a marble field was made about ten miles from Dannevirke. A sample has been brought to Napier and polished. It gives a surface equal to the finest Italian marble. The discoverers state the field is of unlimited extent. The Government will be asked to procure a reliable report.
