BANQUET TO MR E. NEWMAN, MP.
Mr E. Newman, M.P. for Manawatu, was banqueted at Marton last night. Mr J. "J.' McDonald presided. Among those present were Messrs W. C. Buchanan, D. Buick and D. H. ” Guthrie M’s. P.
Mr W. J. Birch proposed the guest of the evening. Mr Newman suitably responded. [Full report will appear in our next issue.]
