The hearing of the petition against the Suburbs Licensing poll has been adjourned till January 20.
The Masterton petition will be heard on January n, and theHutt petition on January 14. Auckland, Dec. 18.
The Special Court under the Licensing Act sat this morning to deal with the petition lodged against the validity of the Eden local option poll. Mr Cotter, solicitor, stated he would offer no evidence in support of the petition. The Court in the absence of proof, decided to dismiss the petition, and affirmed that No-License was carried in Eden. Of the /20 deposited f with the petition, the Court allotted ten guineas to the respondents, £2 5s Court costs, and declared the/ balance forfeited to the.CnSwn/
