HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

Inaugural Show.

The Foxton Horticultural, Floral, Industrial, and Poultry Association’s inaugural Show will be held in the Public Hall, on Wednesday and Thursday next, 2nd and 3rd December. The various committees have been working energetically to make the affair a success and a large number of entries are promised in each class. Apart from local exhibits several nurserymen will display pot plants, flowers, etc., which should lend a further attraction to the function. The ladies’ committee are taking a special interest in the home industries section. The show should prove educational, and stimulate a greater interest in gardening. We feel sure that the Association’s initial attempt will result in success.
