ATHLETIC SPORTS.

A Successful Meeting. The eighth annual meeting of the Foxton Athletic Club was held in the Park yesterday, and although the sky was overcast and a stiff breeze was blowing, there was au attendance of about 500 present. The committee, who worked like trojans, had the track in splendid order and some exelleut racing was witnessed. Ail the officials worked splendidly and there was not a hitch during the gathering.
