Taft’s election is particularly welcome to Britishers, who believe that Mr Taft will continue to encourage increased cordiality with Britain, which President Roosevelt started. Mr Taft’s instalment of office will be a guarantee of the stability of the American foreign policy. New York, November 4. Mr Taft has been elected already on 298 votes of the Electoral College; 13 votes are still doubtful.
