John Bright: Strong drink prevents our success, Remove this obstacle, and our cause will be onward, and our labours blessed. Mr Gladstone : It is said that greater calamities are inflicted on mankind by in- ' temperance than by the three great historic scourges — War, Pestilence, and Famine. VOTE FOR NO-LICENSE BY STRIKING OUT THE TOP LINE.
