THE ROYAL PICTURES.

The second visit of the Royal Picture Company will take place in the Public Hall on Saturday evening next. Our Palmerston contemporary speaking of the entertainment says “ The large audience which assembled at the Opera House last evening were given a delightful treat by the Royal Picture Syndicate. The programme was one of the best given here, some of the pictures especially “ Sunny Madiera ” and “Victoria Falls,” being magnificent. Every picture was a gem,

and those of a humorous nature kept the audience in shrieks. There can be no doubt that the Royal Pictures have “caught on,’’ and their popularity will continue so long as they give such excellent value. Next Saturday’s entertainment will include an exceptionally fine programme. One feature will be the Marathon race, the picture showing the race being started by the Princess of Wales, and Hayes and Dorando entering the stadium. The story of the great finish is known to all, and the picture of of the event will be eagerly looked for. Another fine picture to be shown is “ A Trip on the Chinese imperial Canal.’’
