BOROUGH FINANCES.

At last night’s Borough Council meeting the Treasurer reported that since the last monthly meeting of the Council, he had paid into the District Fund Account the sum of 4s 3d, and the amount to the credit of the District Fund Account at the bank this day was ,£391 5s 3d; the balances of the Various separate accounts are as follows :—General account, ,£lO7 7s 2d ; sanitation account, ,£3B 14s; reserves account, ,£Bo 3s 3d ; cemetery account, ; iuterest account, .£9O 6s Bd, (all iu credit) ;‘aud library account £3 3s (overdrawn). The rates are coming in very slowly there is £4BB 18s id still outstanding, a great deal of which will shortly be sued for, the duplicate acounts for same, now being in the course of preparation.
