CRIB TOURNAMENT.
Next Friday evening at Mr. Perreau’s capacious rooms vrill be witnessed a most interesting crib tournament between local players of 15 two (not “2-up”) and the Sanson Club. It is expected that fully 28 of the visiting team will be present, and Foxton is prepared to put a like number in, to guard their honor. Play will commence as soon as possible after the arrival of the visitors, which is anticipated at 8,15 and will continue till close on n o’clock, if the tournament is not finished before then. : The local players will entertain the visitors. The following have been selected to represent Foxton : T. Henderson, I,- E. Reade, T. Bayliss, J. Parker, D. McKwan, W. Anderson, E. Harvey, F, Robinson, J. Christie, W. Nye, C. Spiers, A. Bird, J. Hurley, W. C. Howan, J. McNight. W. Wright, G. Wright, C. Hunt, O. Austin, M. Littlejohn, G. A. Gray. P. Skillen, K. Davis, D. Whibley, R. Howard, J. Valentine, H. Coley, Dr. Mandl and J. T. Levett. The above-mentioned players are requested, if they possess cribbage boards, to bring them, together with a pack of cards in case these necessary adjuncts should fall short.
