FREEMASONRY.
The installation of Bro. J. Fletcher as W.M. of Lodge Raugitikei and investiture of officers, took place in the Masonic Hall, Bulls, yesterday afternoon. R.W. Bro. R. Fletcher, P.G.M., invested the officers. Representatives ot lodges from all parts of the district were present including six members from the local lodge. In the evening, a most enjoyable social was held in the Public Hall. A special orchestra supplied excellent dance music and Bros. F. Purnell and King as M’sC. saw that every one was entertained. Items were contributed by Bros. Nash, Betts, Bennett (2), Hornblow and others. A vocal trio unaccompanied, “ Good Night, Ladies,” by Bros. Nash, Belt and Bennett was a real vocal treat, the voices blending nicely. Au excellent supper was partaken of and the hearty hospitality of the Bulls brethren very highly commented upon. The ladies were given an opportunity to deny the soft impeachment that the brethren of the mystic tie are selfish iu their social enjoyments and the wish was expressed that the ladies in other localities should receive similar consideration. We might add that the Rongotea Lodge always include the iair sex at their installation banquet.
