AUCTION REPORT.
Percy M. Page reports a moderate attendance of buyers at the mart on Saturday last, when a number of lines, new and secondhand furniture etc., were submitted, but owing to the tightness of money only a few lines were disposed of. Produce, however, was in good demand and good business was done at the following rates : —Wheat 5s 3d, partridge peas 4s qd, oats 3s 3d, all per bushel; table potatoes 7s 6d, up-to-date seed potatoes 8s 6d, onions 14s, all per cwt; parsnips 6s, carrots 4s 6d, blood manure Bs, garden manure 8s 6d per cwt ; lettuce 2d each, cauliflower plants 6d per bundle, cabbage plants is 6d per 100, tomato plants is 6d doz.
