Resolevd that Domiuiou Day medals be forwarded to teachers for distribution. _ Grants from the Education Department were received as follows : —Wanganui, residence and washhouse ; Utiku, residence. Resolved to apply to the Department for a grant for additions to Linton School. An offer was received from Mr W. E. Barnard to conduct a class ~ of commercial law at the Foxton technical school. • Lett in Mr Fraser’s hands with power to act. A motion by Mr Dixon, that the Minister for Education be asked to bring in legislation acquiring young people up to the are of 17 or xS, residing within a reasonable distance of a technical school, fty,attend upon one or two evenings' . per week at such continuation o#:'' technical classes as may be provided for them and that other Boards in the Dominion he asked to co-operate, was referred to the Chief Inspector.
