POLITICAL.
To-morrow evening at 8 o’clock Mr Ed. Newman, the Opposition candidate for Manawatu, will meet supporters and friends in the Masonic Hall. We are asked to explain that this meeting is not wholly of a public nature, but more with a view to meeting Party friends, and to discuss preliminaries. Mr Newman will deliver an address, and Mr Gower will preside. Mr Oswald Gardner, a candidate for the Manawatu seat, will address the electors of Foxtou on Monday next, 21st inst, at 8 p.m. The Mayor will preside.
