The New Zealand Rugby Union Committee upheld H. Hewitt’s appeal against disqualification by the Manawatu Rugby Union. The disqualification is therefore removed and Hewitt’s deposit lodged in accordance with the rules is returned. Auckland defeated Otago at Auckland on Saturday by n points to 5 ; Wellington defeated Taranaki at Wellington by 12 points to 8. Stratford, September 12. At a meeting of the Taranaki Rugby Union, Colman and Frewin were suspended until the first round of the season 1910 for alleged misbehaviour during the tour of the Taranaki team to Auckland.
