BOROUGH FINANCES.

At last night’s meeting of the Borough Council the Treasurer reported that since the last monthly meeting there had been paid into the bank the sum of ,£159 2s, and the balance to the credit of the District Fund Account was ,£lO9 los qd, the statement of separate accounts being as follow ; General ,£lsl 16s Bd, library ,£3O 14s, sanitation ,£65 8s 3d (ail overdrawn), reserves £59 9s, cemetery £2 Bs, interest ,£77 13s 7 d (all in credit). It was also stated that the rates were coming in very slowly, about 25 per cent, only having been paid up to the. present.
