FOXTON ATHLETIC CLUB.

A meeting of the committee of the Foxton Athletic Club was held in Mr Perreau’s rooms last night. Present; Messrs Perreau (chair), Page, Woods, Robinson, Rough, Gillies, Hynes, Healey, and the secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The secretary was instructed to write to the District Traffic Manager asking that the ordinary train on Monday, November 9th, be delayed to leave Foxton at 5.30 p.m. Also, what guarantee would be required to run a special from Feilding to Palmerston to connect with the ordinary g a.m. train. Mr J. Collingwood was appointed handicapper for the ensuing year.

The committee appointed at the last meeting to draw up a programme submitted a rough draft, which was approved of by the committee.
