Wanganui v. Southland.

By Telegraph—Special to Herald. Wanganui, This Day. The rep. football match, Southland v. Wanganui, was won by Wanganui, by 10 points to six. The game was all in favour of Southland till the latter end of the second spell, when Wanganui woke up. During the first part of the game, play was all about the Wanganui quarters. Southland scored two goals, one from a penalty kick, and one from a mark. The score was unaltered till about the middle of the second half, when Wanganui got across the line and converted. A little while later Wanganui got another try and goal. On the whole, play was not up to rep. form.
