While endeavouring to alight from a swiftly moving tramcar in Upper Symonds Street last evening, Miss Whitehead, a young woman, aged about 22 years, whose parents reside in Litchfield Street, Ponsonby, fell and sustained such severe injuries to her head that she died within four hours after the accident.
