WINTER GARDEN FETE.
The committee which has the arrangements in hand for the forthcoming “ Winter Garden Fete” met last night, at the Methodist Parsonage. The decoration committee are determined to make the hall look as much like a winter garden as it is possible. Several of the committee intend to spend next Monday in the bush, gathering ferns and other ornamental plants which will be offered for sale at the close of the Fete, The programme for the concert promises to be unusually attractive, and includes outside talent as well as the best of our local talent. The‘‘Bally Hooly Boys” are included in the first night’s programme, also other humorous items, which is evidence of a fi r st-cla i s programme. The young men and ladies of the church have determined to do their best for the second evening. A dialogue entitled, “ Caught Napping,” by six young ladies and two gentlemen, and an evening ‘‘ Around the Camp Fire,” b the young men, promises roais of laughter. The whole affair is to wind up with a snow-balling competition for the ladies, and darning and weolwinding- for the gentlemen. The programme will appear in Saturday’s issue.
