TELEPHONE HOURS EXTENSION.

The Postal Department have given ear unto onr cry, and the local telephone exchange will, as from to-day, be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The Secretary of the local Chamber of Commerce received a letter to this effect from the Secretary of the Postal Department yesterday. The communication states further that the Chamber’s request for the establishment of communication between Foxton and Wanganui, is under consideration. This information will be greatly appreciated by local subscribers.
