PARLIAMENT.
The Financial Debate, which came to a close with the Prime Minister’s reply on Friday afternoon, was spread over eight days, having been opened by the leader ot the Opposition on July 15, In all, 47 members spoke, including the Hon. Fowlds, McNab, McGowan and Hall-Jones. The members who placed on record their views were ; Messrs Massey, Lang, Buddo, Gray, Malcolm, Witty, Mander, Izard, D. Reid, J. Allen, J .Stevens, Hanan, Wilford, Laurensoh, Fisher, Herries, Dr. Chappel, Hornsby, Stallworthy, Poole, Sidey, Okey, Davey, Poland, Rutherford, W. Fraser, Hogg, Arnold, Remington, Hardy, Barber, Ell, Greenslade, Seddon, E. G. Allen, Hon. C. H. Mills, Field, Symes, Sir W. J. Steward, Jennings, Hogan and Major. Very few members spoke less than an hour.
