CORRESPONDENCE.

We do not hold ourselves responsible for opinions expressed by our correspondents. l"TO THE EDITOR.] Sir, —With regard to my sermon preached last Sunday week, I am surprised to find that it has been taken up in such a bitter spirit by the Presbyterians and Methodists. It was a sermon preached solely to Anglicans, and had nothing to do with those outside her fold. In no way whatever did I refer to any other church, except from an historical point of view, and those who were present will bear me out that not a single unfriendly word came from my lips The sermon was based entirely on the Book of Common Prayer, history, and the canons of the church, and each argument was proved by fact. However, as the matter has been taken seriously by those whom it does not concern, and things said in places where I have no chance of contradicting them, I now challenge both the representatives, of the Presby terian and Methodist Churches, respectively, to meet me on a public , platform, and prove that the state- * ments made by me were incorrect, and out of keeping with the Church of England. If they are unable to meet me, I shall; take it they are unable to overthrow my statements.—Yours etc., G. Y. Woodward, Vicar of “All Saints.”
