PAN-ANGLICAN CONGRESS.

London, June 25

The Archbishop of Sydney presided at a combined devotional meeting of all sections of the Congress in the Albert Hall. Sooo were present. This was the final meeting _of the Congress, and an impressive address was given by the Bishop of Durham.

The Pan-Anglican Conference closed with a thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s. A procession of 240 Bishops laid the collections made in their dioceses on the alter. The Archbishop of Canterbury preached in the Cathedral. The adjoining streets were crowded with people. The Pau-Anglican Congress’ final service at St. Paul’s was stately and impressive, though of studied simplicity. The Lord Mayor, Sheriff, 250 bishops, and 6000 delegates were present. The bishops wore their convocation robes.

The Archbishop of Canterbury briefly reminded the people that they must net look for the coming of a few collosal men to be their patterns and champions of life, but the Church must valiantly, persistently, and hopefully strive to mend what is crooked, ignorant, and amiss in the world.

The bishops presented the free will offerings of their dioceses, amounting to ,£333,208 —England and Wales contributing ,£257,122, Scotland ,£5599. Ireland ,£3939. the Army ,£394, the English colonial dioceses ,£63,695, and the American dioceses ,£14,055.
