THE TOWN AGITATOR.
Speaking at the National DairyAssociation Conference at Palmerston on Tuesday, the President, Mr Foreman, referring to the action taken by the employees in the dairy industry, regretted that men who were, living in the cities, trades unionists, and so forth, could not leave the men in the country alone. (Hear, hear.) Their action was unwarranted, and he believed that in several cases —in Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, and the South Island—the disaffectation or dissatisfaction that existed amongst country workers had been fostered by people from the towns. He would not mention any names, but it was a matter that would have to be dealt with by the law of the Dominion.
