MONTGOMERY’S PICTURES.

“Robbery Under Arms”

Mr Edmund Montgomery is recognised throughout the Dominion as being the pioneer and most enterprising entrepeueur of moving pictures south of the line. Once more we receive his advertisement for another boom attraction to be shown in Foxton on Monday night next, Bth hist., viz., a living picture story of Rolf Boldrewood’s thrilling bushrangiug yarn, “Robbery Under Arms.” Speaking of this last venture of Mr Montgomery’s, the Auckland Star says;—“Since the picture presentation of the Australian drama, “Robbery Under Arms,” introduces sufficient realism for one evening, the management have wisely made liberal use of a lighter and more amusing class of film to supplement the programme, and are for the moment withholding a number of interesting and instructive picture subjects. The “ Robbery Under Arms ” series occupy one hour’s time. In conjunction with the above pictures, Mr Montgomery will present his entertainers. The pictures will be shown by electricity generated by the Company’s own powerful dynamo. A truly liberal entertainment is promised for Monday evening. The prices are fixed at 3s and 2s, and children will be admitted half price to the ist 2nd seats only.
