MASONIC.

The installation of Bro. E. Healey as W.M. of Eodge Te Awahou, No. 133, N.Z.C., and investiture of officers, took place in the local Masonic Hall, on Thursday evening, and was attended by visiting brethren from all parts of the province, 23 installed masters were in attendance. R.W. Bro. R- Fletcher, Provincial G.M., officiated as Installing Master and Wor. Bro. J. A, Nash G.D.C, was Director of Ceremonies. The following officers were installed : W.M. Bro. E. Healey, S.W., I. Wor. Bro. C. E- Barnard, D.C. Wor. Bro. A.D. Clemett, G. 5.8., S.W. Bro. J. K. Horn-, blow, J.W., J.W. Bro. E. W. Wilson, Treasurer Bro, M. H. Walker, Secretary Bro. W.. Adams, S.D. Bro. A. W. Bradley, J. Bro. J. Senior, EG. Bro. M. Perreau, Organist Bro. G. H. Stiles, Chaplain Bro. W. E. Bullard, S.S. Bro. C. Hood, J.S. Bro. A. Jonson, Tyler Bro. J. Johansen, Auditors Bros. Morgan and Aitken.

During the ceremony Bro. J, Bett rendered a solo “ Dream of Paradise.” Those who took a prominent part in the ceremony were Wor. Bros. Cameron (Otakl), Bowater (Rongotea), Easther (Eevin), Clemett (Foxton), and Croucher (Feilding). A Past Master’s jewel was presented to Wor. Bro. C. E. Barnard 1.P.M., by the officers and brethren of the local lodge. An adjournment was then made to the banqueting hall, where justice was done to the excellent ‘‘spread” supplied by Bro. M. Perreau. The following toasts were proposed : —“The King and Craft,’’jgproposed by the W.M.; “ Grand Eodge,” Wor. Bro. E. Simmons —R. Wor. Fletcher, P.G.M. • “The Worshipful Master,” Wor. Bro. Barnard—Wor, Bro. Healey ; “ The Installing Master,” Wor. Bro, Nash-rR. Wor. Fletcher, G.P.M.; “ The 1.P.M.,” Bro. Hornblow, S.W.— Bro. Barnard, 1.P.M,; “Sister Eodges and Visitiug Brethren,” Wor. Bro. Fraser, responded 4o by visiting P.M.’s ; ‘‘The Wardens and Officers of Eodge Te Awaken,” Wor. Bro. T. King, Bro. Hornblow and E- W. Wilson; “Tyler’s Toast,” Bro. Johansen. Songs were sung by Bros. Bett, Hankins and Wood.
