Workman (Wairarapa). Forwards : M‘Carthy (Wairarapa), R. Smith (Bush districts), H. M'Kenzie (Wairarapa), Harvey (Bush districts), Brenchley (Wairarapa), Swaiuson (Bush districts), Rpss (Wairarapa)* At Wellington on Saturday, Poneke defeated Petone by 13 to 11 ; Oriental defeated Wellington by.s points to 3 Melrose defeated Athletic by 9 points to nil ; St. James defeated Old Boys by n points to three : and Southern defeated Victoria College by 12 to 6. At Palmerston, Palmerston defeated Old Boys by 22 points to 11. At Feilding Kia Toa defeated Feilding by 13 points to 10. At Brisbane on Saturday the New Zealand Professionals, defeated Queensland by 12 to 3) The football match Awahou, v. Albion, played on the Racecourse on Saturday, resulted in a win- for the former by n points to nil. Neither club was represented by their best teams, consequently the display of football was very poor, it being nothing more than a for? ward scramble from start to finish*-
