THE LYTTELTON SHOOTING CASE.
Christchurch, May 7. The hearing of the charges against Frederick Hall, of attempting to murder Alexander Jas. Muir, and of attempting to fire a revolver at Constable Moriarly, came on at the Lyttelton Police Court to-day, and excited interest sufficient to draw a crowd to the Court House. The injiued man Muir arrived by the 9.55 a.m. train from Christchurch to attend the Conit, and his arrival caused quite a stir. A considerable number of people followed him along the road. He appeared to be still suffering from the effects of his wounds, and had to sit in Court while giving evidence. A considerable quantity of evidence relating to the alleged crimes were heard, and Hall was committed for trial at the next criminal sessions.
