Auction Report.
Mr. Percy M. Page reports a good attendance of buyers at the Foxton Auction Mart on Saturday last, when several lines of household furniture were offered and sold at satisfactory prices. A line of second-hand bicycles, consigned by Messrs Reynolds and Co. was also submitted and several sold at reasonable rates. Business was brisk in produce lines, potatoes, onions, pumpkins, marrows, etc., meeting with ready sale ; also a good demand for fowls. Fruit and produce quotations Dessert apples, ios ; cooking pears, ios ; cooking apples, 6s ; all per 48 lb case ; potatoes, 8s per cwt; swedes, 5s 6d per cwt; marrows, 6s per cwt; pumpkins, 6s per cwt; jam melons, per lb ; carrots, 4d per bundle; onions, ios per cwt, smaller quantities, i}(d per lb ; table fowls, 4s 6d per pair ; ordinary fowls, is each. Enquiries ; —I have enquiries- for fowls and all other produce lines.
