Hide and Skin Report.
Dalgety and Company, Limited, Palmerston North, report having held their usual monthly sale of wool, skins and hides on xst instant. We offered an average catalogue to a large attendance of buyers, and competition was keen for all lots offered, especially good sound skins and hides, which advanced to the extent of }£d to *4 d per lb on last sale rates. We quote. — Wool ; Inferior crossbred, 3d to 4}4d ; medium crossbred, 4d to 4*4d ; dead wool to 4d ; bellies and pieces, 3d ; locks, ijf-d to i%d ; lambs wool rough, 4d ; black, 3}(d. Sheepskins: }{d to)£d; wool: pelts, to woolly crossbred, 4%d; pelts (sound), 3d to 31441 ; dead, 3d ; lambs, 3%-d to 4c! ; inferior and damaged pelts, 1 j4d to 2d. Butchers part dry and green crossbred, 2S, 2s 3d, as 4d, 2S 6d, to 2S gd each. Lambs, is id to 2s each. Salted pelts (small), is yd each.
