DIAMOND-MAKING.
London, April 30. Lemoine, charged with swindling Sir Julius Wernher out of ,£64,000 by pretending that he can manufacture diamonds, consents to the Uuioti of London and Smith’s Bank surrendering to the French judicial authorities the secret formula which was deposited with the Bank in trust, by agreement between Lemoine and Sir Julius Wernher. Lemoine gave his consent on che examining magistrate agreeing not to open-the envelope containing the formula until the expiry of the two months required for the manufacture of the diamonds. Lemoine states that the envelope merely contains a formula for the manufacture of bort.
