The weather was dull and threatening for the Autumn Meeting and the attendance was not so large as in previous years. A sum of ,£11,464 was put through the machines, against ,£12,842 (which included double machine) last year. Thirteen bookmakers were licensed at ,£2O 10s, and 21 at £lO 10s for inside and outside respectively, including clerks’ fee. Results —

Time, 1.33. Thompson Handicap. Sunbonnet f, Sea King f, Aboriginal 3. A desperate finish resulted in a dead heat. Aboriginal, who came with a late run, was a length and a half away. Time, 1.434-5. North Island Challenge Stakes. —Diabolo 1, Glenculloch 2, Carissima 3. Time, 1.32. Plunket Nursery Handicap.— Flitaway 1, Artillerie 2, Roosevelt 3. Time, 1.4 3-5.
