Mr Percy M. Page reports a good attendance of buyers at the mart on Saturday last, when a lot of small lines of furniture and sundries were sold at satisfactory prices ; also a brisk demand for produce. Fruit and produce quotations : —Potatoes (very good), 8s cwt; onions, 9s cwt; pumpkins, 5s 6d cwt; marrows, 5s 6d cwt ; table swedes, 5s 6d cwt; carrots, 43 per bundle ; good clean cooking apples, 6s per 401 b case; finest dessert apples, 9s per 401 b ; cookpears, 4s 6d per aolb case ; jam melons, lb quinces, id lb. Mr Page has numerous enquiries for onions, pumpkins, marrows, cabbages, fowls, ducks, and other farm produce.
