THE PRICE OF BREAD.

A meeting of the Palmerston N. Master Bakers’ Association was held on Wednesday afternoon to consider what was to be done in view of the fact that one of the bakers was advertising the sale of bread at 3d per 2lb loaf over the counter and it was decided that they would also sell at 3d per 2lb loaf over the counter and delivered. This, it is considered, will have a tendency to do away with the coupons as in future they will be sold at 3s 6d per dozen and the only advantage in having them will be in the doing away of the daily necessity of getting small change.
