PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

A meeting of the District Committee of the Foxton Presbyterian Church was.held yesterday.. Representatives were present froin Tiakitahuna, Glen Oroua, Carnarvon, Ordua Bridge, and Foxon. The Rev. G. K. Aitken, in absence of the (Revrt. Jolly), presided. The financial statement for the year showed a marked improvement on any previous year with a corresponding increase of attendances at Sabbath services. A resolution was, carried unanimously that the Presbytery be informed that the time was inopportune to disconnect Carnarvon district from this charge and connect it with Bulls, and the. Rev. Aitken and Mr R. B. McKenzie were depute 4 to attend Presbytery to explain the position. It was also decided to urge upon ifte Presbytery the necessity of estjib? lishing a session for the Foxton district. It was decided to hold the quarterly meetings at the different centres in future, and Carnarvon was decided upon as the next meeting place.
