OBITUARY.

Mrs Morgan, Aged 72

The death occurred on Thursday, at the residence of Mrs Oldridge, Avenue Road, of Mrs Isabella B. Morgan, relict of the late Mr George Morgan, aged 72, On the 18th inst. the old lady drank some liniment in mistake for her medicine, which was kept on the same shelf. She received immediate medical attention, and rallied, but a few days ago another ailment set in, which gained the mastery. Deceased leaves a grown-up family of five sons, namely G. E. (Auckland) J. 8., C. A.; A. R., and A. B. Morgan, and one daughter (Mrs Oldridge) and a number of grandchildren to mourn their loss.

The late Mrs Morgan was born in Scotland in 1836 and came out to the Dominion with her parents in the ship New Zealand in and took lup her residence in Nelson, with her parents. She passed through the trying times incident to pioneering in the Nelson district in those days. She lived with her husband in Nelson until about 16 years ago when the family took up their residence in this district.

The luneral took place this afternoon and the remains were followed to their last resting place by a large number ot mourners. The Rev. Mr Young-Woodward officiated at the graveside.
