CRICKET.

A ■ meeting of the Foxton Cricket Association was held last evening in Mr J. Rough’s office, Mr L. E. Reade presiding. A letter from the Manawatu Cricket Association, asking that a match against Foxton be played on Saturday, 21st inst., was received, and the Secretary was instructed to write making the necessary arrangements. The team are to arrive on Friday night, and an all-day match is to be played, commencing at 10 a.m. The arrangements for lunch were left in the hands of Mr Woods, and the Secretary will arrange matters re afternoon tea. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Secretary of the Shannon Cricket Club, asking for a suitable date for the local reps, to play at Shannon. The meeting terminated with usual votes of thanks.
