STEALING AT A FIRE.
Christchurch, February 23
George Barnes was found guilty at the Stipendary Magistrate’s Court yesterday and he was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence on charges of stealing at the recent fire drapery, etc., belonging to H. E. Gott (value £2O), the Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Company (A 13), and jewellery, etc., the property of Alfred Henry Oakley (,£52).
