THE HEMP MARKET.

Mr Petrie, Government hemp grader at Foxton, graded the hemp to be forwarded by the New Zealand Flaxmillers’ Association to the Franco-British Exhibition. The hemp was prepared at the Seifert mill and included two bales each of superior, fine, good fair, fair and common, and represents very fair samples of the New Zeaproduct. The superior graded 98 points out of a possible 100. The samples ate baled in the usual way, except that they will be enclosed in cases. The exhibit should be a splendid advertisement for our hemp, and tend to further raise its position on the world’s market.
