FOXTON STATE SCHOOL.
The disti ibution of prizes at the above school look place yesterday afternoon. The following committeemen were present: —Messrs L. W- Wilson (Chairman) P. Hennessy, M. Perreau, T. Betty and S. H. Baker. The children were assembled in the quadrangle for the ceremony and the Chairman in a few appropriate remarks congratulated each of the undermentioned children. He spoke encouragingly to those who had not been successful and urged them to strive to excel during the present year. After the ceremony the children had a right royal time in the playground where sports were held and many who failed to obtain prizes in class work more than held their own in athletics. The following is the list of scholars who obtained prizes.
