CATHOLIC BAZAAR.
Huge Success.
The above function still continues to attract large numbers every afternoon and evening, and good business is being done all round, the various stall holders, etc-, expressing keen satisfaction at the very successful results attending their efforts. The Secretary desires us to cjntradict a report circulated that the four-decker wedding cake and the bale of fibre, are not as genuine as they appear. These two articles are the best that Foxton can produce in their lines, and are absolutely what they are represented to be. They will be on view at the Bazaar to-night, and anyone can enter the competitions for same. To-night the Management of the Catholic Bazaar intend to raffle some magnificent works ’of art, consisting of: Carved tables, handpainted mirrors and fire-screens, oil paintings, and fancy work. It is anticipated there will be a large crowd present to witness, the final raffling of these very beautiful samples of art and needlework. t The Bazaar’s leading attraction, the dancing in fancy costumes, is as much appreciated as ever. To-morrow night will see the end of one of Foxton’s most successful fancy fairs, and on Thursday evening a complimentary social is to be tendered to all stall holders, assistants, and ticket holders, when it is expected a most enjoyable time will be spent.
