The New Zealand footballers gave their best display of the tour to-day, when they defeated the Northern Union, the scores being as follows ’
New Zealand (3 goals and 4 tries)... ... 18 Northern Union (2 tries),.. 6 The play was even during the first half, the New Zealanders leading at half-time by five points to three.
After 20 minutes of even play in the second half the New Zealanders scored three times in rapid succession, Northern Union scoring just on time.
