FOXTON CO-OPERATIVE BUILDING SOCIETY.

A meeting of shareholders of the above society was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Thursday night. The Chairman of Directors, Mr P. J. Hennessy, presided. The object of the meeting was to discuss the recent informal ballot, and to fix Secretary’s salary. It was pointed out that the recent ballot was informal, by reason of the fact that the shareholders were not notified of the ballot in accordance with the rules, and several other informalities were stated. It was decided to take another ballot at an early date. It was explained that the directors alone had the power to fix the Secretary’s salary, which the Chairman stated would be done at the next meeting.
