Crowds Holst Black Flag. Pretoria, January n. Seven Indians have been sentenced at Pretoria to three months’ imprisonment for disobeying a Magistrate’s order to quit the Tra usvaal. The defendants were, in addition, fined ,£IOO. Three others were ordered to pay failing payment of which each will be imprisoned for three months. Four of the Indians had large local business connections. Mr Ghandi, the Indian barrister recently ordered to leave the country, and five others have been sentenced to two months’ imprisonment without hard labour for having defied the law. At the close of the Court proceedings a procession of Indians marched through the streets of Johannesburg, carrying black flags.
