MISSION SERVICES.

The great preacher and lecturer Rev., J. Flanagan will hold a mission in Foxton commencing Sunday December Bth. For 14 years Mr Flanagan laboured in the slums of Southwark, London, building there the St. George’sMissiouHaU in which to, conduct the Avjbrfe' of the mission. The ,£20,000 this building cost,, Mr Flanagan raised himself by preaching, conducting missions, lecturing, etc., travelling in, eight years pver 200,000.111 iles, j and-’deliveringj,thousands of serj raons and lectures. Before going to London, Mr Flanagan was, minister for five years of the church meeting of the Albert Hall, Nottingham, a building seating ’over two thousand people. In connection with this church, he had, at that time, the largest men’s class in the world. The membership was 2800, and the average attendance on Sunday afternoon was over 2000. Mr Flanagan has been holding crowded meetings in Wellington the last few weeks, many being ■ unable to gain admission. He will conduct service in the Methodist Church on Sunday morning. December Bth. In the afternoon,®! 3 o’clock, a men’s meeting will be held in the Public Hall, when Mr Flanagan will deliver an address of great interest, on ” How I won Jack, the London burglar.” On Sunday night in the Public Hall a great mass meeting and united service will be held at 7 o’clock. On Monday and Tuesday, services will be held in the Methodist Church. On Wednesday evening, Mr Flanagan will tell the story of his work in London in the interesting lecture, “ Fourteen years in Darkest London.” The lecture will be held in the Public Hall, commencing at 8 o’clock. Admission is. Collections will be taken at the other services. All are cordially invited to attend these mission services.
