A preliminary meeting was held at Whyte’s Hotel last night by several gentlemen interested in the flax industry to discuss the patent process brought out by Mr W. G. Richardson for converting the vegetation that falls from the stripping machine into a keepable cattle food. We understand that there is every possibility of a syndicate being formed to erect a working plant at Eoxton to test the commercial value of the business which, lif successful, will be the means of establishing a large and important industry in the town.
