KAISER’S VISIT TO ENGLAND.
LONDON, November 12. A dense fog upset the reception to the Kaiser at Portsmouth, The Prince of Wales in a torpedoer boarded the Royal yacht, the Hohenzollern, at Spithead, where the Channel fleet saluted. The mist spoilt the impressiveness of the salute. The Kaiser wore the uniform of a British Admiral. King Edward and Queen Alexandra met the the Kaiser and the Kaiserin at Windsor station and they affectionately embraced. The Kaiser remarked to the Eord Mayor, “ Coming to Windsor seems like home again. I am always glad to be here.” The Kaiser has issued a notice saying that he is deeply touched at the cordiality of the welcome and the warmth of his reception at Portsmouth and Windsor.
